  Consultancy on Tibetan Studies

Since the establishment of AMI, hundreds of students, writers, film-makers and scholars have approached AMI for guidance or assistance in their research, for location of texts, informants, manuscripts and photographs, and also for general information on Tibet. Tibetan lamas, officials, monks and lay people in exile society and also from inside Tibet have also consulted us for tracking down genealogies, old photographs, local histories, and also for information on former incarnations of lamas and so on.
AMI director Tashi Tsering, has been instrumental in providing this service, and also checking on the progress of the work and researches of such people. Tashi Tsering's acknowledged expertise in the field of Tibetan history, folklore, ethnography, religion and much more have ensured the success of this service.
